All panels will have balanced members and be moderated with attendee interaction Panelists are being finalized and will be announced ASAP, but will include industry leaders that are Appraisers, Umpires, Attorneys, Adjusters, Engineers and others, with balanced views from the Carrier and Policyholder perspectives.

1230 to 115 - Moderated Panel - Global Perspective on Appraisal
115 to 215 - Puerto Rico update - Implementation of the new law, potential take away points for other jurisdictions
230 to 245 break
245 to 330 - Appraisal - Alternative to or Trigger for Litigation?
330 to 415 - Initial Claims Handling - what leads to disputes in the Amount of Loss
415 to 5pm - Demanding Appraisal, Naming Appraisers, Selecting Umpire
5pm to 7pm - Networking Social onsite
Day 2, Thursday, August 1
8am to 830 - check in and settling with continental breakfast
830 to 930 - CO Issues - DORA and Impartial Appraisers
930 to 1030 - Using Causation and Avoiding Coverage Decisions in Appraisal
1030 to 1045 - break
1045 to 1145 - Appraisal Panel Handling
1145 to 12 noon - IAUA history, standing, certifications, overview
1200 to 100 - Lunch, provided
100 to 400 - IAUA Certification Class: This prepares attendees for the Appraiser or Umpire exam; this also fulfills the re-certification requirement of attending this class at least once every three years
We will proctor the Appraiser and Umpire exams following the IAUA Certification Class. Attendees may take both exams if they wish to do so, if time allows. Re-certification does not require re-testing.
